This has nothing to do with UDM… but it could if we get enough people to participate this Friday November 13th 2009.  This is an organization/cause that I found earlier today that I thought was good to share with you. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AND THEN JOIN IN THIS FRIDAY!

Every 17 minutes a suicide occurs.

The #1 cause of suicide is untreated depression.

2/3 of depression goes untreated

It is estimated that 13-24% of teens/young adults regularly engage in self-injury.

Rescue is possible

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

The vision is that we can reduce the suicide rate in America and around the world.

TWLOHA is an attempt at healing, founded on a message that pain can be fought by love, that there is hope and people are not alone.

This was inspired by one broken girl, five broken nights, and a few amazing friends. The story has evolved into something much more… into something beautiful.

Reaching out to hundreds every day… changing perspectives and changing lives….

This organization is simply an invitation to an honest conversation with a friend or loved one. A conversation of healing and love and hope. Please accept it rescue is possible.

♥To Write Love On Her Arms Day is a day where anyone can write the words love on their arms, to support those who are fighting against depression and those who are trying to recovering. On this day, just write love on your arms, and show it off, other people will ask why you have love written on your arms, and you tell them you are supporting to write love on her arms day, and how its benefiting a non profit organization helping stop depression, and make love the movement ♥

Write “LOVE” on your arm this Friday to raise awareness. When someone asks about it, tell them about TWLOHA.
