UDM Facility Operations

Please note, the road that runs between the Powerhouse and Engineering Building is currently open for the weekend, but will be closed on Monday, January 23 between 7:00AM and 5:00PM.

Repairs to the fire suppression in Shiple Hall will take place on Friday, January 20 between 8:00AM and noon.  During this time, alarms will be silenced, but if by chance the alarm sounds, we will silence them or notify occupants of necessary action.

The second round of fire alarm testing will take place on Friday, January 27 from 7:00AM until approximately 5:00PM.  During this period, audio and visual strobe alarms will be tested throughout Dowling Hall and the Library.

The heat supply to 4th Year Clinic and Room 1300 has been shut down for emergency repairs as of 9:00AM this morning.  While repairs are being addressed, the temperatures in this area may be on the cooler side.  A timeframe has not yet been determined, but we anticipate the heat in these areas to be [...]

Unfortunately, the City of Detroit has cancelled a necessary inspection scheduled for today, so the opening of Subway has regrettably been delayed to Thursday, January 19 at 11:00AM.  The taste testing is scheduled to happen in the afternoon of Wednesday, January 18, so swing on by! On Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21, the road that runs between the Powerhouse and Engineering building will be closed to traffic at the east end.  The Engineering high bay will still be accessible, but the road will be unavailable for through traffic between 7:00AM and 5:00PM both days.

On Friday, January 6, there will be fire alarm testing in Dowling Hall and the Law Library.  Testing will begin at 7AM and will last all day.
