Thank you to everyone who attended the first Research@UDM event on Tuesday, October 13th. Thank you also for your comments about topics for future gatherings. Your comments will be very useful in planning the next event, which will take place later this semester.
With the help of Dean Margaret Auer and Associate Dean George Libbey in the library, UDM will be procuring a subscription to Community of Science (www.cos.com). Our subscription will begin on November 1. COS is a very extensive database, with more than 25,000 grant opportunities listed to fund your research and other projects. Once our subscription begins, I will be happy to work with departments and individuals to set up customized funding alerts that fit your interests.
Also, the first issue of the Research@UDM newsletter will be out in November. Please forward any of the following:

• Recently published journal article
• Recent conference presentations
• Recently funded grant proposals
• Recent awards
